This project is to highlight part of my work as a photographer. My focus as a photographer right now is in two specific areas, telling the story of “faith and mission” work, and documenting life in the south, mainly in the Auburn/Opelika area. I’m also concentrating on learning the intricacies of black and white photography in the digital age, and while I’ll never master it, I’ve learned a lot over the last several years. Those two areas represent my professional work as a photographer, and my personal life as someone who is always studying the art of photography and trying to advance my craft to the next level. I have not ruled out that some day I will get back into the more traditional areas of photography like wedding, portraits, senior photos, and the one on one photo shoots, but for now I’m taking on very specific projects that I’m passionate about, mainly in the two areas above.
To visit the three areas of my site, go to Faith, Photography, or my Blog feed. Welcome to my ongoing portfolio edit. If you would like to get to know me beyond my portfolio head over to my about page. The ongoing edit on this page is a portfolio of my favorite images over the last few decades. It’s been almost impossible for me to put a proper edit here of 25 plus years of shooting, but this is my attempt. I have taken more than 500,000 images at this point, and the range of genres I’ve loved and studied is far larger than what is represented here.
Below is an ongoing edit of some of my work that I like the most. I will be continually adding and subtracting from this list as I pair down my best images for this portfolio. If you would like to see some of my other ongoing project just visit my projects here. The projects there represent the workings of a book that may or may not see the light of day at some point. Your critique, comments, and suggestions are always welcome.
I also have four main social networking sites I focus on with my photography, less curated but more active I guess, I look forward to conversations on any of those platforms as well. Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Flickr.
